James takes 3rd in Chess - Champion of champions
Congratulations go to Peter Preston from West Hove Junior School.
Peter (Year 6) won his first five games yesterday (Sat 25 Feb),
and despite losing his final game came clear first in our Champion of Champions event
The event was open to all top three finishers in each of our school's internal championships last term,
and is akin to the Champions League in football.

Our termly Invitational Inter-Schools Team Chess Challenge takes place in several weeks
on Sunday 11 March from 12noon - 5pm at Rottingdean Village Hall.
There are some spaces left in some of the school teams.
If you would like to play then please let us know by 5pm this Wednesday 29 February,
and we'll then make the remaining team selections based on responses.
